Masjid At-Tawheed Madrasah Policy

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِينُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَنَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شُرُورِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ سَيِّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللَّهُ فَلَا مُضِلَّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعْ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا

As-Salaamu Alaikum waRahmatullahi waBarakaatuh,

Welcome to Masjid At-Tawheed Madrasah. To ensure the smooth running of our weekday and weekend madrasah and provide a consistent learning environment, we kindly request that all parents and students adhere to the following policies:

Attendance Policy

1. Attendance Expectations:Students are expected to maintain at least 80% attendance per term. If a student falls below this threshold without a valid reason, the madrasah reserves the right to remove the student from the program.
2. Importance of Attendance: Regular attendance is extremely important for steady progress in Al-Quran and Islamic studies. Regular attendance at the evening Madrasah ensures that students maintain connection with their Imaan, build Islamic discipline, and achieve their goals of Akherat effectively.
3. Absence Notification: Parents must inform the madrasah of any absences and provide a valid reason. 
4. Fees will not be waived for absences. Parents are responsible for the full payment of fees as per the agreed-upon term, even if the child is unable to attend some or all sessions.
5. Unplanned Absences: In case of sickness or emergencies, please inform the Madrasah teachers/administration as soon as possible.

Class/Revision Policy

1. Students may be asked to stay after class to focus on revision if needed.

Fee Policy

1. Fee Structure: Fees must be paid in full at the beginning of each term or as per the agreed payment schedule.
2. Refunds: Fees are non-refundable once the term begins, even if a student withdraws or is absent.
3. Financial Assistance: If you are facing financial difficulties, please contact the administration to discuss potential assistance options, i.e. pay in installments

Behaviour and Discipline

1. Students are expected to show respect to their teachers, other students, the visitors at the masjid, the worshippers, and the Masjid premises at all times.
2. Any disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in warnings, parental meetings, or, in severe cases, suspension or expulsion.
3. Phones must be kept away at all times during class. Any unauthorised use will result in the phone being confiscated by the teacher.

Uniform, Personal Hygiene, and Materials Policy

Dress Code

1. All students must adhere to modest dress standards in line with Islamic values.
   • Boys: Thobes and white hats are required.
   • Girls: Modest Islamic attire, including hijabs, niqabs, burqas, or abaayas, must be worn.

Materials

1. Students are responsible for bringing all necessary books, stationery, and required materials to each class.

Personal Hygiene

1. Parents must ensure their children maintain proper hygiene, including:
   • Wearing clean clothes and socks.
   • Clipping nails weekly.

Communication with Parents

1. All official communication, including notifications about classes, events, or fees, will be conducted via email or text messages on whatsapp. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date.
2. Parents are encouraged to maintain regular communication with teachers and the administration to stay informed about their child’s progress.

Waiting List and Admission Policy

1. New students are added to a waiting list and will be offered a place based on availability. Parents will be contacted via email once their child has been accepted.
2. Admission is finalised only after the registration process is complete and the fees are paid.

Health and Safety

1. If a student feels unwell due to a viral infection or virus, they should remain at home to prevent the spread of illness.
2. Parents must inform the teachers/administration of any medical conditions or allergies that require attention.
3. The Masjid premises are a no-smoking and no-littering zone.

Termination of Enrollment

1. Enrollment may be terminated due to non-payment of fees, consistent lack of attendance, or failure to adhere to the Madrasah’s policies.

Policy Updates

1. The Madrasah reserves the right to revise its policies, including fees, to meet Madrasah needs. Any changes will be communicated to parents in a timely manner.
